Picture

"The proposed HTML "picture" element (see responsiveimages.org, but has not been accepted for HTML 5) is implemented as a display formatter for image fields. This module is a backport of Drupal 8 picture module. This module will deliver alternate image sources based on device capabilities to prevent wasted bandwidth and optimize display for both screen and print. "

Bundle copy

Bundle Copy is in Drupal 8 Core CMI. It is a replacement for the Content copy module which lives in the CCK project for Drupal 6.

Image Style Quality

"Set JPG quality per image style
This module allows you to specify a custom quality on different image styles you create. After installing and enabling this module, you will have the option to add a new effect to your image styles, enabling you to change the quality."

Image Resize Filter

"The easiest end-user solution for resizing inline images.

This filter makes it easy to resize images, especially when combined with a WYSIWYG editor such as tinyMCE or CKeditor. Users never have to worry about scaling image sizes again, just insert an image and set it's height and width properties in HTML (this is done automatically by WYSIWYG editors) and the image is resized on output to match the HTML."

Block Reference

"Defines a field type Block reference which allows the block to be displayed as the content of the field." Alternately, if the bean module is enabled, blocks can be referenced using the entity reference module instead.

It is a little more straightforward than the process I outline below. Instead of creating a rule
